The Tūhoe-Waikaremoana Māori Trust is holding its annual general meeting on Sunday 24 January 2010 at the Te Whai ā Te Motu Marae, Mataatua Road, Ruatāhuna. Copies of newspaper notice of meetings that are being published in local papers starting on 26 December can be downloaded from the website. The annual meetings of the Ruātoki A Section 18 Reserve and Ruātoki AI6B Ahu Whenua Trust will be held at the same venue after the Tūhoe-Waikaremoana Māori Trust meeting. (The beneficiaries are the same).
There will be a Pohiri at 8.30 am, registration to vote at 9.45 am then the Tūhoe-Waikaremoana Māori Trust Board meeting starts at 10.30 am followed by the Ruātoki A16B Trust. At 5.30 pm there is the Ruātoki A Section 18 Reserve meeting. The purpose of the annual meeting is to present the chairman’s report, annual report, financial accounts and any general business.
All beneficiaries of the trust are welcome and there is a provision for proxy voting. Proxy forms can be downloaded from the website. Note only those registered on the Tūhoe-Waikaremoana Māori Trust tribal register are eligible to vote so please bring identification.
