In December 2009 the Board announced that it would undertake to hold 11 AGM’s for the land trusts, under the Boards trusteeship (please refer to Ahu Whenua panui page on the website for schedule). So far the Board has held the following land trusts AGM’s:
- Ruatoki A Section 18 – 24th January, Mataatua marae, Ruatahuna
- Ruatoki A16B – 24th January, Mataatua marae, Ruatahuna
- Matahina F – 22nd May, Waiohau Marae, Waiohau
- Tuararangaia 1B – 22nd May, Waiohau Marae, Waiohau
- Tūhoe Tuawhenua B Trust – 26th of June Te Umuroa Marae, Ruatahuna
The most recent hui held at Te Umuroa Marae for the beneficial owners of Tuhoe Tuawhenua B Trust had a rather disappointing turn out. Of the 1100 current owners, 20 attended the hui.
The Board would like to encourage beneficial owner participation in these hui particularly with the number of changes that require consideration and input at this time. Thank you to all those who have braved the weather and attended the AGM’s.
Despite the lack of attendance the Tuawhenua AGM produced good feedback and the Board looks forward to returning and doing further consultation with beneficiaries as part of the commitment to follow up with their future needs as a result of the AGM.

Just a reminder also that the Ruatoki 1B 1C 4A AGM is coming up in late August. Also the postponed Waikaremoana Māori Reserves AGM’s will be held in late August.
